Maddison Park-Neilson, Winemaker and half owner of Aristotelis ke Anthoula – a pure wine label based in Merimbula NSW. Formerly a genetic and medical engineering student and hospitality worker in Sydney, I decided to follow a career in wine towards the end of my studies. My initial foray into fine drinks was craft beer at Bitter Phew (voted ALIA’s best beer venue), back then home of Cantillon’s Zwanze day. I then wanted to expand and explore the larger world of wine. I was briefly in fine dining but mostly in more laid-back Australian-focused wine bars and high end retail. I met Tony (business partner, love of my life) as his new wine label was really making traction – back then known as Ari’s Natural Wine Co. I eventually joined full time, we now run the business in equal partnership and I have been making natural wines for the past 6 years.
